 Our next class is on June 3, 2017 at The DoubleTree Hotel in Monrovia, CA. The class consists of didactic lecture in the morning and hands-on practicum in the afternoon. The class is filled with all the necessary knowledge you will need to be able to insert PICCs under ultrasound as well as troubleshoot and care for the PICC line. This class is perfect for clinicians who care for patients with PICC lines and  want to learn how to insert PICCs and PIVs with the use of ultrasound. You will also receive 8 hours of Continuing Education at the end of the class that can be used for license renewal/tuition reimbursement.

      Thank you to all who attended last August 6th PICC Line Insertion Care and Management Course. We had a very exciting and informative class. Great participation from our clinicians who are very eager to learn a new skill. Patrick and I are fortunate to teach the class and meet so many healthcare practitioners who are dedicated to giving the best care to their patients. Vascular access have given us so many career opportunities and empowered us to pursue excellence in the field. I was unable to take a lot of pictures due to the interesting and exciting conversations during the class, but I was able to catch one picture when one of our group team was practicing their Modified Seldinger Technique!

        We scheduled another class on October 14th and have lined up more information and hands on practice to impart knowledge in vascular access specializing in PICC Insertions and Ultrasound Guided IV access. PICC Class 5/21/2016

     Thank you for all the clinicians that attended the PICC class on May 21, 2016! Great conversation, and awesome exchange of ideas and techniques. We hope that you have learned a lot and will continue to practice your insertion skills under ultrasound. • Identify indications for use and advantages of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC)
• Discuss the assessment and selection of appropriate vein for PICC insertion 
• Understand ultrasound guidance for PICC insertion
• Identify pre-insertion and post-insertion management
• Insert the PICC line using Modified Seldinger technique, and troubleshoot difficulties during insertion to achieve optimal tip placement of the PICC
• Identify PICC tip location using magnetic tip guidance technology and radiographic images
• Discuss care and management of PICC
• Discuss nursing responsibilities and liabilities
